The number of foreign tourists visiting Bali in February 2024 increased compared to the January 2024 period. This was reported by the Bali Provincial Statistics Agency in the Official Statistical News of the BPS for the April 2024 period, which was announced on Monday, April 1, 2024.

DENPASAR, KOMPAS — The Central Statistics Agency said 454,801 foreign tourists came to Bali during February 2024. More than 99.8 percent of the arrivals came via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. Most tourists come from Australia.

This was conveyed by the Head of BPS Bali, Endang Retno Sri Subiyandani, on Monday (1/4/2024). The number has increased by 8.28 percent compared to January 2024, with a total of 420,037 visits.

"Australian tourists dominate, with a contribution of 20.45 percent. There is also an increasing number of visitors from Malaysia. Recorded as many as 26,836 people, which is a 102.96 percent increase compared to January 2024," said Endang.

Based on Official Statistics News from BPS, Monday (1/4/2024), foreign tourist arrivals during February 2024 reached 1.04 million people. This number increased by 11.67 percent compared to January 2024. Most of it went through Bali and Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Banten.

Meanwhile, according to the press release from PT Angkasa Pura I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, the number of passengers from January to February 2024 reached 3,555,108 people.

During February 2024, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport served 1,751,427 passengers. They consisted of 749,037 domestic route passengers and 1,002,390 international route passengers.

The largest number of passengers on domestic flight routes during February 2024 is Jakarta. Next there are Surabaya and Makassar.

The international flight routes with the highest passenger service throughout February 2024 are Singapore, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and Perth (Australia).

According to the General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I International Airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Handy Heryudhitiawan, the achievement indicates that Bali's tourism sector will improve.
