BOGOR, KOMPAS — Hery Antasari was appointed Acting Mayor of Bogor replacing Bima Arya whose leadership period has ended. During his 10 years in office, the City of Bogor has transformed in a good direction. However, there is still homework that has not been done and is waiting to be completed.

Acting (Acting) Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin appointed Acting Mayor of Bogor Hery Antasari at Gedung Sate, Bandung City, on Saturday (20/4/2024), to fill the leadership of the regional head after the end of the positions of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Bogor for the 2019-2024 period, Bima Arya and Dedie A Rachim. The inauguration marked the end of Bima Arya's 10 years as regional head in the city of rain.

According to Bima, during his leadership together with Usmar Hariman and continued with Dedie A Rachim, the city of Bogor has undergone transformation and has changed positively in many ways. However, he admits that there are still many unfinished tasks that have yet to be completed.

And whoever is the leader of the City of Bogor in the future, as long as it serves the citizens with heart, the City of Bogor becomes a clean, trustworthy and serving bureaucracy, and makes things easier for the citizens, then the City of Bogor will continue to move and become stronger as a center of excellence i>," said Bima when contacted, Thursday (25/4/2024).

Bima assesses that his ten-year leadership cannot be separated from the support, cooperation, loyalty, and integrity of the Bogor City Government. In fact, there has also been a lot of support from residents who indirectly and directly contributed to implementing his policies and taking action based on dynamics in the field.

In 10 years, according to Bima, Bogor City has received as many as 384 awards, including two Adipura awards after disappearing for 28 years. These awards are the result of the hard work and thoughts of the community and village to sub-district level officials, as well as the Bogor City government officials who support and collaborate with each other.

"Ten years ago I started my job with Bogor City being the center of problems, lots of problems. However, slowly with support, commitment, efforts and the desire to move forward together, the city of Bogor has experienced progress and transformation. I am proud to leave Bogor City Hall. "I am now an ordinary civilian who will continue to love this city," he said.

After being inaugurated as Acting Mayor of Bogor, Hery immediately gathered all the high-ranking officials and civil servants (ASN) of Bogor City. He also went around to several regional offices, not only to introduce himself but also to coordinate and communicate in support of the future programs and activities of the Bogor City Government.

To the regional officials, Hery conveyed that the presence of the Acting Mayor of Bogor City should be utilized for any process to accelerate programs and activities that will bring benefits to the city of Bogor and its residents.

"Support and motivation to continue working together to maintain what is good and strive to implement what is not yet achieved, carrying out good performance as a principle," said Hery in his official statement.

Hery was previously Head of the West Java Province Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM).

Not only that, acting regional heads also need to frequently immerse themselves in the field. They must listen directly to the complaints and input from the community, especially by opening communication with the central and provincial governments.
