JAKARTA, KOMPAS — Attorney General investigators again confiscated three luxury cars belonging to Harvey Moeis a> which is suspected to be related to the illegal mining case in the mining business permit or IUP area of ​​PT Timah Tbk 2015-2022. Thus, a total of seven luxury cars belonging to the husband of actress Sandra Dewi have been confiscated by the Prosecutor's Office.

The Director of Investigations of the Special Criminal Prosecution Unit of the Attorney General's Office, when confirmed on Friday (April 26, 2024), confirmed the seizure. "Yes," Kuntadi answered briefly.

The three luxury cars seized from Harvey Moeis consisted of two Ferraris and one Mercedes Benz. The three luxury cars were taken to the Attorney General's complex on Thursday (25/4/2024) evening. Until Friday afternoon, the vehicles were seen parked in front of the building of the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence of the Attorney General's Office.

Up to this point, investigators have seized seven luxury cars belonging to Harvey Moeis. The first two cars seized were a Mini Cooper S Countryman F 60 and a black Rolls-Royce. Next, the Attorney General's Office seized a Lexus RX300 and a Toyota Vellfire. This time, investigators seized three of Harvey's luxury cars, namely two red Ferraris and a metallic-colored Mercedes Benz.

Previously, Kuntadi stated that Harvey was also charged by investigators with allegations of money laundering. In addition to asset in the form of vehicles, investigators also seized other assets, such as watches.

"That is still in process. We are coordinating with the Asset Recovery Agency. The seized items will then be handed over to the Asset Recovery Agency," said Kuntadi.

Regarding the alleged ownership of a private jet, Kuntadi stated that it is still being investigated for its connection to Harvey. If it is indeed true, investigators will certainly pursue it.

Harvey is also being investigated by authorities on suspicion of money laundering. In addition to assets in the form of vehicles, investigators also seized other assets such as wristwatches.

"Basically, we will pay attention to all information and we will respond accordingly," he said.

Separately, the Coordinator of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society, Boyamin Saiman, believes that with Harvey being declared a suspect in money laundering, investigators must trace Harvey's assets that are suspected to have come from the crime. This is because the possibility of the money being used to purchase or convert into various assets is very open.

"Which company did the money come from, or from which corruption proceeds," said Boyamin.

Regarding the alleged private jet aircraft, according to Boyamin, he doubts the information and considers it merely a display. In many countries, aircraft are usually purchased in the name of a company and then rented out by the company, not in the personal name. Nevertheless, this information is worthy of investigation by investigators.
