Gigi, 30th Birthday

Gigi will present 30 songs that represent Gigi's musical journey. They will also collaborate with collaborators.

Gigi Band, led by Armand Maulana (vocals), Dewa Budjana (guitar), Thomas Ramdhan (bass), and Gusti Hendy (drums) is preparing to welcome its 30th anniversary. Gigi will celebrate their 30 years in the world of music by holding a concert entitled ”GigiInfinity”.

"Gigi, (her birthday) is actually March. "But the concert will be held on August 24 2024 at Istora Senayan, Jakarta," said Dewa Budjana by telephone on Friday (26/4/2024) in Jakarta.

Gigi was formed on March 22 1994. One year later they released their first album entitled Angan. To date, this band has released dozens of studio albums.

As a "stage tiger" band actively holding concerts, Gigi is determined to present a birthday concert that is different from their previous ones. They want to give the best to Gigikita, the nickname for Gigi fans.

"If we usually make it ourselves, this time we asked Edy Khemod as show director," said Budjana. Edy Khemod, apart from being known as the drummer for the metal band Seringai, is also a creative and film director at the Cerahati Artwork Film Production House. Previously, Edy acted as show director and creative team "Raisa Live in Concert" at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium on February 25 2023.

In the 30-year concert, Gigi will present 30 songs that represent the band's musical journey. They will also collaborate with various artists, not only those who are currently popular in the local music industry but also those who are considered as legends. "We are preparing everything," said Budjana.
