Laborers work on subsidized houses in Mojosongo village, Mojosongo district, Boyolali, Central Java, Saturday (24/8/2019). The houses named type 30 are marketed at Rp 140 million per unit. People who are allowed to buy subsidized housing are those whose basic salary is under Rp 4 million per month. The subsidized housing program is aimed, among other things, at helping low-income people have decent housing.

The problem of inadequate housing remains far from resolved. In fact, the situation is worsening due to the growing imbalance between supply and demand.

JAKARTA, KOMPAS – The people need decent homes, but doubts have emerged as to whether the existing housing supply system can provide enough housing.
